Discover the sophisticated retreat of Cascais, strolling through its polished streets and sun-drenched bays once favored by European royalty. The journey continues along the dramatic coastline to the wild beauty of Guincho Beach.
About this tour
Just west of Lisbon, where the river meets the Atlantic, lies the coast that European royalty chose for their summers. This half day takes you to the polished marina and old town of Cascais, the crashing waves of Boca do Inferno and one of the most scenic drives in Portugal, ending at the wild, wind-swept beach of Guincho.
It is the easiest escape from the city: sea air, big skies and time to stroll, with your driver waiting and local pastries along the way. Late afternoon is especially beautiful, when the light turns gold over the ocean.
