Your journey begins with a private hotel pickup where your private chauffeur leads you through an 8-hour immersion into Portuguese culture. The morning is dedicated to the monumental grandeur of Belém, featuring riverside landmarks and an exclusive tasting of the city's original pastries. In the afternoon, we navigate the elegant avenues of Baixa and the historic winding soul of Alfama — the complete Lisbon narrative, defined by skip-the-line convenience and total flexibility.
About this tour
Lisbon is built on seven hills, and its best neighbourhoods are kilometres apart. This full day puts the whole city within easy reach: your driver takes you from the riverside monuments of Belém to the elegant squares of Baixa and up to the medieval lanes of Alfama, handling the climbs, the traffic and the parking.
It is the ideal first day in Lisbon, and a relaxed one. You start in the Age of Discoveries, taste the original pastéis de Belém, stop for lunch in Chiado, and finish at the viewpoints above the terracotta rooftops of Alfama, walking downhill instead of up.

Frequently asked questions
Is this tour private?
Yes. Every Black Key tour is private: the vehicle and driver are reserved for your group only, and you never share with strangers.
Is this tour suitable for first-time visitors?
It is designed for them. In one day you see the three essential sides of Lisbon: Belém, the historic centre, and Alfama, without spending your first day working out trams and hills.
How much walking is involved?
Moderate. Your driver drops you at each area, so you only walk within Belém, Baixa and Alfama. In Alfama we take you to the top so you walk downhill.
Is a guide included?
The tour includes your private driver. A certified guide is optional and costs +120€ per group. Guides bring the history and stories behind each stop, and are available in several languages on request.
Can we add a fado dinner in the evening?
Yes. Tell us when you book and we can recommend a fado house in Alfama and drive you back to your hotel at the end of the evening.
Can we change the itinerary?
Yes. The route below is our recommended plan, not a fixed script. Tell us what matters most to you and we will adapt the stops and the timing.
